TPDSD is the product that is replacing the highly acclaimed and successful ITCM. It is based on IBM technologies. It can quickly and fully discover an existing ITCM environment. Existing Software Packages can be reused without conversion since the format is the same and the installation engine uses the same code. ITCM v4.3.1 can be easily ported to TPDSD. TPDSD can be viewed as ITCM without Tivoli Management Framework. TPDSD can also coexist with TPMfOSD. This feature allows for provisioning existing and new machines. TPDSD makes any computer ready for the user through the Work Ready model.
